I never realized something so painful and so deadly could feel as good as it did. It might’ve been the masochist in me dominating, but it felt so incredibly remarkable.
The vampire had come in through my open window, which I now know to leave closed. Pinned against my own be beneath him, his mouth on my neck, I couldn’t save myself.
“A great catch,” he muttered, enthralled by my trembling. He wiped the blood off my  neck with two slender fingers, then licked it off them slowly. “The sweet blood of a soul that remains untainted. But a boy…never have I fed from a boy…I heard you were bitter.” But he smiled and pressed his lips against the cuts on my neck. “Not bitter at all…”
His teeth once more sank deep into my skin, and I let myself moan slightly. I began to see stars, reacting at long last to the venom on his fangs…but I refuse to lose this battle. I wont die from this…and he caught that…Took hold of my chin, turned my head…stared me hard in the eyes…
“Will you  not die?” he asked, his eyes shining with unexpressed emotion.
“…Don’t know the meaning of the word…die,” I managed to say. He frowned, then wiped away the bit of blood that had managed to drip from my mouth.
“You are indeed curious things you…humans. Giving up doesn’t seem to be in your blood. And I would know.”
“Hah….you’re funny…” I was losing it, and he smiled.
“Do you honestly want to live after this? Never, will you be human again.”
“Was I ever human…to begin with?”
“You’ve got a lot of nerve kid, saying something like that to a vampire.” Though my vision was blurred and though I couldn’t think straight, my hand shot out and gripped the collar of his shirt.
“Never…” I growled. “Call me kid…It’s…Vincent…call me otherwise, and you’ll…regret it.” That was when he got that crazed look in his eyes. The look of a madman. The look that I’ve seen all to often.
“You will learn to regret those words, wont you,” he said, his voice just as crazed as his eyes as he pulled his arm back. He drove his hand, razor-sharp nails first, through my stomach. My world began to go black, and he leaned over and whispered in my ear just as he brought his hand out of my stomach, almost pulling something with it. “Vincent.”
